Discovering ways to make education accessible and affordable.
Roll call. After a headcount of 14,000 students for the spring semester this year, we found nearly 10,000 Montana residents, representing all 56 counties and engaged in more than 100 areas of study. Close to 70 percent will work their way through college. Since this campaign began, 471 undergraduate scholarships and 58 graduate fellowships have been created or enhanced by private support.
Brain drain? Most remarkable, though, is what we'll find when our students graduate: more than two-thirds of them will choose to stay in Montana and work here. More than three-fourths of our students will work in their chosen fields, and 21 percent of all grads will pursue professional or advanced degrees.
Discovery never ends. Numbers like these add up to a Montana success story, repeated hundreds of times over, every year. They reflect one of The University of Montana Foundation's primary convictions: We're here for the students. With your support, they are sure to go on to affect our community and our state in remarkable ways.

“I am the first person in my immediate family to attain a college education. I have worked full time while attending school and value the scholarship I received as an indispensable resource that allows me to balance my time between work and school. Without this award, I would not be able to achieve my highest goal.”
